About the Authors

David McLennan

David McLennan obtained degrees in history from the University of Cape Town, before working in the State Archives. He become a dealer in rare books in 1994. His shop, Select Books, is located in Long Street, Cape Town. He has been an avid rugby fan and Newlands attendee since childhood.


Chris Schoeman

A former editor of SA Rugby magazine and The Who's Who of SA Rugby, Chris Schoeman has watched international rugby in stadiums around the world. He has written several rugby books, including Legends Of The Ball, The No.10s and South Africa's Rugby Legends, and has co-authored the biographies of Springbok legends Danie Gerber, Frik du Preez and Os du Randt.
